EcoQuilt Expert is a Highly Reflective 6 Layer Multifoil Insulation Material. It is designed to insulate a variety of applications which includes Roofs, Walls, Floors, Conservatories, Garden Buildings, Caravans and Many More.
At 15mm thick in its open state EcoQuilt Expert will compress down to just 5mm and is equivalent to around 100mm of Glasswool or 50mm of PIR Rigid Insulation Board. PIR manufacturers include Kingspan and Celotex. EcoQuilt Expert is one of the highest performing Insulation materials on the market under 10mm thick!

Multifoil Insulation products such as EcoQuilt Expert work by insulating and reflecting in and out heat. In the summer months, EcoQuilt Expert will reflect away unwanted heat due to its reflective outer layer. In the winter months, EcoQuilt Expert works by retaining radiant heat and energy back into your home.
EcoQuilt Expert is supplied in two easy to handle roll sizes; 1.2m x 10m and 1.5m x 10m. We recommend all overlaps to be covered by a minimum of 50mm. Please ensure all overlaps and around the perimeter are fully taped and sealed using True Aluminium Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape.
EcoQuilt Expert is easy to cut with a Stanley knife or sharp pair of scissors. It does not require any protective clothing or masks when installed and contains no itchy or harmful fibres.

APPLICATIONS
Garden Buildings
Insulating Garden Buildings & Sheds is EcoQuilt Experts most popular application. EcoQuilt can be installed whilst the garden building is being built or can be installed later on older buildings. This multi-layered blanket can be used on the roof, walls, and floor of a garden building. Sheds and Garden Buildings are renowned for being too hot in summer, and freezing in the winter, often damaging the content inside. EcoQuilt Expert when installed will create a more ambient temperature throughout the year. The installation is also quite simple in garden buildings, the product is thin, flexible, and easy to install.
Conservatories
EcoQuilt Expert when used on conservatory roofs will help reflect warmth during the winter while reflecting the cold away. This also helps reflect away unwanted heat during the summer, keeping your conservatory at a comfortable temperature all year round. EcoQuilt will also prevent moisture from forming within the Conservatory as this product acts as a high performing vapour control layer, when taped and sealed using ThermaSeal Foil Tape.
Roofs
EcoQuilt Expert is extremely popular in both pitched and flat roofs. It can be easily stapled or nailed to rafters or joists, allowing the product to expand and reflect. EcoQuilt is then to be fully taped and sealed using Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape. When EcoQuilt Expert is fully taped and sealed it will also work as a high-performance vapour control layer which reduces interstitial condensation. As heat rises, it is essential for a roof space to be properly insulated. EcoQuilt Expert will also significantly reduce cold bridging as the insulation will be a flat, continuous layer.
Walls
EcoQuilt Expert is a popular product to be used in walls as this product when installed is only 5mm thick. This can be stapled directly to studwork in timber framed walls or battens on solid brick walls. We then recommend EcoQuilt is counter battened by a minimum of 25mm before installing your internal board such as Plywood or Plasterboard. EcoQuilt Expert when fully taped and sealed using ThermaSeal also acts as a high performing vapour control layer so no additional VCL is required.
Floors
Due to EcoQuilt Experts highly reflective foils, the multi-layered blanket works best in flooring scenarios. EcoQuilt Expert is extremely popular when insulating suspended timber floor joists, which can be insulated both above and below joists. EcoQuilt Expert can also be insulated on solid floors, with battens over the insulation before proceeding with a chipboard finish. Due to the nature of the product, it can be easily compressed and manoeuvred for a simple and effective installation. EcoQuilt Expert will also work as a DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) in floors.
Static Caravans
EcoQuilt Expert is very commonly used in Static Caravans as this product is only 15mm in its open state and compresses to just 5mm while giving a performance equivalent to around 100mm of Rockwool. Because of this EcoQuilt Expert can be used on Roofs, Walls and Floors of Static Homes while keeping the thickness of the building to a minimum. EcoQuilt can be installed internally or externally of the building before installing a secondary batten and cladding.
Agricultural
Dry air and good protection against moisture is crucial when it comes to warehouses and agricultural buildings. Insulating with a multi-layered blanket like EcoQuilt on the roof, walls and floor will dramatically reduce the likelihood of fungus and mould growth.
